We are looking for a mechanic to maintain and improve the mechanical equipment for our different processes.

YOUR MISSION

Under the supervision of the mechanical planner at the Saint-Michel-des-Saints demonstration plant, you will be part of a team of mechanics who carry out mechanical work at the plant.

  • Inspect machinery, repair malfunctions, and replace defective parts.

  • Identify and diagnose breakdowns.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery.

  • Install and adjust mechanical bearings.

  • Replace internal pump components in the workshop.

  • Use a variety of tools, such as drill presses, plasma cutters, oxyfuel cutters and grinders, to create parts to repair, service or assemble machines.

  • Weld parts for repairs or joining.

  • Install fixed industrial machinery or mechanical equipment (pumps, fans, tanks, etc.).

  • Read plans, diagrams and schematics.

  • Fill out work order requests.

  • Apply the prevailing safety standards.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • DVS in industrial mechanics or a related field

  • 2 to 3 years of experience an industrial environment, i.e., wood, mining, metal, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, gravel, etc.

  • Good ability to identify and diagnose technical issues and problems with different types of equipment.
