We are looking for a Analyst, Corporate Finance and Financial Strategy to join our team!

YOUR MISSION

Under the supervision of the Director, Financial Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, the selected candidate will work with the management team to support key decision processes. You will play an important role in many aspects of the company’s long-term financial strategy.

Specifically, the main responsibilities of this position are as follows:

  • Help maintain and develop agile financial models that incorporate different sensitivity analyses to support the company’s strategic projects.

  • Put together cost-effectiveness analyses and provide detailed recommendations to management.

  • Help the team with the process of closing financing, merger and acquisition transactions.

  • Actively help prepare presentations for senior management and/or the board of directors.

  • Help develop the pricing strategy based on current and future market conditions to maximize commercial performance.

  • Manage and update different databases to ensure that financial information is accurate.

  • Gain an understanding of the industry’s main performance drivers and indicators by collecting sector intelligence and competitive intelligence.

  • Support the financial planning team with projects and special assignments.

  • Work closely with other departments (such as marketing, IT and operations) to align financial initiatives with the company’s objectives.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • Being registered with the CFA and/or holding a recognized accounting designation is an asset.

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally with a public company.

  • Experience in the mining, manufacturing or industrial sector is an asset.

  • Good knowledge of financial models and their presentation. Experience with mergers and acquisitions will be considered a strong asset.

  • Strong sense of ethics and integrity.

  • Independent, disciplined, detail-oriented and resourceful.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Be results-oriented and have keen organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to communicate and write clearly and concisely in French and English.

  • Excellent management of business software and technological environments, particularly the Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
