We are looking for an Operations Supervisor for our plant in Saint-Michel-des-Saints (SMDS) in Lanaudière.


Reporting to the Vice President, Metallurgy and Process, the Operations Supervisor supervises and supports their team as per the policies and procedures in force at the SMDS plant (performance, absenteeism, training, etc.). You will also uphold the efficiency and quality of operations of different transformation processes while helping your staff develop their full potential.

  • » Serve as the liaison between operations and maintenance.
  • » Be responsible for meeting production and cost targets through the efficient use of staff and equipment in your sector.
  • » Ensure that prevention, health and safety, hygiene and environmental rules and procedures are stringently applied.
  • » With the Maintenance Supervisor, and depending on changing priorities for operations, coordinate the list of maintenance work and staff required for each shift.


  • » Diploma of college studies (DCS) in mineral processing, metallurgy or chemical processes or a combination of equivalent training and experience.
  • » Years of experience in a related field may compensate for the education requirements.
  • » 10 to 12 years of experience in staff management.
  • » Ability to work on a team.
  • » Good technical knowledge of an industrial process.
  • » Good knowledge of the Office Suite.
  • » English is an asset.
