We are currently seeking procurement Agent to fill four (4) positions within our team.

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for all aspects of the procurement process, from strategy to contract close. The role will initially focus on the project execution phase for the construction of our two sites of operation (Saint-Michel-des-Saints and Bécancour). During this phase, you will also be called upon to collaborate in the operational preparation of our plants. Once in the operations phase, you can move into a more strategic role with a focus on long-term agreements and operational needs. You will also support the operations of the Company’s demonstration plants.

This unique opportunity will allow you to take advantage of the agility that a small team offers in a fast-growing company and add your own two cents.

Specifically, the challenges include:

  • Ensure acquisition of products, equipment and services required by projects and operations;

  • Develop procurement strategies for various needs;

  • Create the list of bidders;

  • Pre-qualify bidders based on the company’s criteria;

  • Create tender documents and manage tenders;

  • Negotiate and draft contracts and their terms and conditions, in collaboration with NMG’s legal department;

  • Create and award of contracts;

  • Manage and maintain contracts with suppliers;

  • Prepare purchase orders;

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;

  • Analyze and evaluate vendor performance;

  • Develop and maintain strong and harmonious relationships with suppliers.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • DEC in the field of administration, certificate in supply chain management or a combination of training and experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations or Procurement Management an asset;

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in similar functions;

  • Experience in a project environment in the industrial sector, mining & metals or energy an asset;

  • Good judgment, synthesis and analytical skills;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Highly developed attention to detail;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment;

  • Strong negotiation skills;

  • Bilingualism an asset;

  • Experience with the use and implementation of ERP systems, ideally the Dynamics 365 suite;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and common software tools.
