We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition, to develop a strategy to search for and identify potential candidates, oversee the recruitment process, and manage partner and candidate relationships.


Reporting to the VP HR as part of a growing team of HR professionals, your main mission will consist of developing strategies and overseeing complex and varied processes to acquire top talent based on the Company’s growing needs.

  • Develop and implement proactive strategies to find, attract and acquire talent in keeping with the Company’s overall strategic plan and business goals.

  • Plan, direct and carry out all corporate staffing processes (needs analysis, candidate assessment and interviews; competency assessment and testing; hiring process management; background/reference checks, etc.) in collaboration with the relevant managers.

  • Advise and influence the selection of candidates and recommend the person who most closely matches the desired profile.

  • Support and promote NMG’s equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles and set up initiatives to achieve these goals.

  • Act as an ambassador and represent NMG at promotional, networking and recruitment events (job fairs, trade shows, open houses, etc.) to develop the employer’s brand and enhance the Company’s visibility as an employer of choice.

  • Strategically monitor the job market and emerging trends.


  • Undergraduate degree (bachelor’s) in labour relations, human resources management, administration (human resources concentration) or any other field deemed relevant.

  • Between five (5) and ten (10) years of experience in talent acquisition and the staffing of executive and professional positions, including senior management roles. Experience in skills assessment and talent sourcing and attraction strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple hiring searches at the same time.

  • Discipline, detail oriented, sense of urgency and organization.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to learn quickly.

  • Team spirit, openness and flexibility.

  • Discretion and good judgment.

  • Creativity and a sense of innovation and curiosity.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written French and English.

  • Member of the CRHA order.

Work site: Montreal and/or remote work. Occasional travel to operational sites in Saint-Michel-des-Saints and Bécancour.
