We are looking for a Training and Skills Development Specialist to join our Human Resources Department.

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, you will manage and coordinate the organization’s training activities. This position will require you to:

  • Coordinate and execute training programs (planning, organization, supervision and follow-up as needed).

  • Develop overall or specific annual training plans and manage the department’s budget.

  • Conduct research, interviews and analyses to meet corporate and individual training and development needs and tailor training solutions to the organization’s specific needs.

  • Manage funding and grant applications: Ensure that applications are compliant and submit reimbursement requests to the Finance Department.

  • Work with educational institutions and funding bodies to set up permanent job offer (PJO), DVS, ACS, and other diploma programs.

  • Develop, coordinate and lead orientation courses for new employees to onboard them into the organization.

  • Implement coaching, mentoring and career development programs for new employees.

  • Monitor performance indicators for training, produce regular status and result reports, and propose any necessary adjustments.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • University degree in human resources management, education, guidance counselling or the equivalent.

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a training or education department (ideally in an industrial setting).

  • Certifications in training management or qualifications specific to funding programs (grants, etc.) are an asset.

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of public funding programs for training (PJO, DVS, ACS, etc.).

  • Good proficiency with the MS Office suite and training management software (e.g. learning management systems, Excel).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A CHRP or CIRC designation is an asset.
