We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team!

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee and manage all activities related to the company’s financial information and ensure compliance with the applicable accounting and regulatory standards (IFRS). The selected candidate will prepare and communicate financial statements and manage external reports. The selected candidate will also manage and continuously improve the company’s internal controls to comply with the 52-109 and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulatory frameworks.

The position’s specific challenges include the following duties:

  • Actively help prepare periodic, quarterly and annual financial statements, including any related financial analyses, while upholding accuracy, compliance and consistency with the applicable accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Actively help produce management reporting on the financial position and results of operations (MD&A).
  • Help prepare presentations for the Management and Audit committee meetings (quarterly).
  • Actively help to develop and implement the company’s accounting policies, which includes preparing accounting memos for complex accounting transactions.
  • Establish, optimize and update internal control procedures and processes to ensure that the company’s key accounting and operational activities comply with the applicable regulatory frameworks (52-109 and SOX).
  • Manage the external and internal audit processes (quarterly) and ensure that these are effectively carried out.
  • Actively participate in special continuous improvement projects to increase the Finance Department’s operational efficiency and financial transparency.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; an accounting certification (CPA or in process of designation) is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience either at a law firm or in the public sector.
  • Excellent proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Very good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
  • Experience solving complex accounting problems.
  • Experience with internal controls for a public company (or at a law firm).
  • Experience with the SOX regulatory framework is an asset.
  • Show a dedication to quality, be able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Be able to manage priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Have good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Bilingualism required (French and English).
