Our Story
Reconciling Energy and the Environment
A geophysicist by trade, Eric Desaulniers ventured to explore NEW TERRITORIES overlooked by the mining industry: a new world, Nouveau Monde, to be discovered with novel technologies. Some 20,000 km2 of helicopter-borne exploration led our destiny to Saint-Michel-des-Saints, 150 km north of Montréal, Québec, where nature had sprung a world-class graphite deposit.
Since this discovery in 2015, Eric and the Company have always taken very seriously this unique privilege of developing a finite resource. The team, in partnership with the community and key stakeholders, have worked to re-imagine the traditional practices of the sector to catalyse an INNOVATIVE AND BOLD PROJECT focused on sustainable development.
Natural resources constitute a collective wealth. While Québec prides itself on clean, renewable hydroelectricity, the minerals in our bedrock merit the same appreciation by offering an alternative to fossil fuels and creating social, environmental, and economic value.
