We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team!

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will actively help plan, evaluate, organize, and control all activities in the accounting cycle.

The position’s specific challenges include:

  • Actively prepare the quarterly and annual Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) reports.
  • Help prepare the regulatory reports that are applicable to a public company.
  • Maintain and optimize month-end analyses for account reconciliation.
  • Actively participate in financial and internal control audits.
  • With the Controller, implement policies, procedures, and workflows for accounting and internal controls.
  • Support the payables team in their daily tasks and find ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in the payroll validation process.
  • Participate in special projects for the Finance Department, particularly to implement new ERP functions.
  • Prepare various financial planning analyses for the organization’s needs.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; an accounting certification (CPA or in process of designation) is required.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
  • Show a dedication to quality, be able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Be able to manage priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Have good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Advanced level of French and English.
