concentrator operator

Join Nouveau Monde as a Concentrator Operator by getting your DVS in production equipment operation in Saint-Michel-des-Saints.

DVS Paid Program

  • Training period: From Mid-April, 2025 to Mid-October, 2025

  • Paid training: $20/hr; Operator’s salary upon graduation: increase from $22 to $30 over five years.

  • Location: 600 Forex Road, Saint-Michel-des-Saints

  • Course content: OHS, operator trades, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • 435-hour apprenticeship at a mineral processing plant during the training period

  • Selection criteria: Have completed Secondary IV, undergo a pre-employment medical exam, demonstrate an interest in moving to the Saint-Michel-des-Saints area to pursue a career

YOUR MISSION

Participate in ore concentration and processing operations.

In accordance with health and safety rules and guidelines, perform maintenance on the different pieces of concentrator equipment to keep them in a safe condition and perform equipment lockouts.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • Successfully complete the DVS program

  • Be in good physical health

  • Be available to work alternating days and nights (1 week during the day and 1 week at night); twelve-hour shifts, 3 to 4 days a week
