We are looking for a Senior Electrotechnician to help our operation solve process problems as well as carry out repairs, calibrate instruments, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control equipment such as pH transmitters, automatic control valves, variable speed drives, and starters.

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Director of the Value-Added Product Demonstration Plant, your primary mission will consist of supporting the implementation of the automation of the Saint-Michel-des-Saints and Bécancour demonstration plants.

The position’s specific challenges include the following duties:

  • Oversee the operation of the control network (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, Profibus).
  • Design/modify programs in various systems (ABB’s DCS, Allen-Bradley’s PLC, Siemens and Schneider).
  • Install, repair, modify, calibrate and maintain all types of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Update technical drawings.
  • Perform repairs on all equipment at the plants.
  • Perform inspections and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Diligently follow up on the work performed with the rest of the team.
  • Follow and apply work procedures and health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that work areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Perform all other related duties as requested by your immediate supervisor.

YOUR SKILLS PROFILE

  • DEC in Industrial Electronics Technology or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial field.
  • Planning, collaboration and coordination skills.
  • Mining or chemical experience a significant asset.
  • C licence outside construction essential.
  • Familiar with DCS integrated control system management.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French, English an asset.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Autocad.
